100!

Yesterday, we got to 100 participants in the Harappa Ancestry Project.

I made the project public on January 17, 2011. So, 100 submissions in 106 days. That's pretty good.http://ceoec.ru/

I am surprised at the speed and quantity of submissions. I probably have the largest dataset of South Asians right now.

Keep spreading the word and encouraging everyone to participate.

  1. Congrats Zack, it's been really cool to be part of the project and to see the results come in over time.

    • Congrats !

Looking forward to the first ADMIXTURE results by the end of week 🙂

      Thanks

  2. Excellent. Congratulations Zack. I have tons of outgoing messages in regards to your projects to what seem like South Asian descent people, so I dearly hope they eventually get down to opening their 23andMe accounts in the coming months and upon reading the message, consequently forwarding their raw-data to you. The best genome blogging project out there, no doubt. Some interesting new participants, too. The project is also becoming a confirm-the-South Asian-blood-in-me sort of exercise :).

    Once again, congratulations!

  3. Well done! I'm honored to be a part of the study. I, too, look forward to the results.

    thanks for your help.

    • What does Affy's A/B signify? Is it the same as Illumina?

I haven't worked with Affy since their chips don't have a lot of SNPs in common with 23andme.

  7. basically, yes. AA=0, AB=1 and BB=2 in binary coding. I found now that GenAbEL convert it easily.

    thanks
